EnGenius ESR7750 Review
The ESR7750 is the first 802.11n dual band concurrent 2.4Ghz + 5.8Ghz Router from Engenius
Because both radios can operate at the same time you can use 2 ESR7750 units to bridge on one band and repeat on the other band.
So for example you can set up a ESR7750 as a WDS repeater on the 5.8Ghz band and then enable the 2.4Ghz radio in the repeater. This will give you a 2 radio repeater without any loss of bandwidth or interference on the backhaul. Or you could also enable both radios in AP mode to cover a small office.
The ESR7750 has a dual CPU design and can easily handle heavy traffic like VOIP, video and torrents.
Because the ESR7750 only has 50mW maximum transmit power range is short compared to the 600mW ECB3500, EAP-3660 or ECB-8610S but it can be strategically placed in the SOHO network as the router and jumping off point for other access points and repeaters.
Throughput is good for 802.11n at short range we were able get a 300Mpbs data rate connection and up to 60Mbps throughput in 2.4Ghz 40Mhz mode with the eub-9701 USB adapter.
